After graduating college, Connie began working as a litigation paralegal working on anti-trust and class action litigation. During that time, she was involved in computerizing the discovery for those cases involving millions of pages of hard copy documents. She employed computer skills from her graduate courses to these management tasks. As a result she was able to develop a very comprehensive litigation management system, which has been used over and over again in her work today. It was here that Connie realized the potential power of using computer technology in litigation and trials. In 1993, Connie began working toward seeking a paperless trial solution for her cases. She developed database management protocols combined with imaging software and later began to seek ways to carry that over to trial. Connie conducted CLE programs across the country and met members of the Federal judiciary. They took notice and hired Connie to install Louisiana's first paperless courtroom in 1994. This courtroom was one of only five at the time. Connie was instrumental in the success of this first courtroom and continued to work as a consultant and trainer for all aspects of litigation support from document review and imaging to trial presentation and courtroom technology. Connie developed training programs for service bureaus, courtroom staff, court reporters, consulting firms and law firm staff interested in imaging technology, computerized trial presentation, and courtroom technologies. It was always Connie's goal to combine the powerful and simple application of personal computer technology to the litigation process, especially at trial.
